Gateway Distriparks'' Q1 profit fell 18% to Rs 51.3 cr due to West Asia conflict & rising costs. Despite challenges, the logistics operator plans expansion & Snowman Logistics growth.
Mumbai, Aug 5 (PTI) Multi-modal logistics operator Gateway Distriparks on Wednesday reported an 18 per cent decline in Profit After Tax (PAT) to Rs 51.3 crore in the June quarter of the current fiscal.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 62.2 crore in the first quarter of FY26.

Total revenue for the quarter under review declined marginally to Rs 553.7 crore from Rs 554.1 crore during the first quarter of the preceding financial year, the company said in a statement.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) dropped 1.28 per cent year-on-year to Rs 121.5 crore from Rs 123 crore in Q1 FY26.

"The impact of the ongoing West Asia conflict continued during Q1, which led to imbalance and higher empty running. Further, with hikes in fuel prices, significant revisions in minimum wages and an increase in other input costs, the company's performance remained in line with Q1 last year," said Prem Kishan Dass Gupta, the company's Chairman & Managing Director.

Consumption and production remained subdued with a lack of clarity on the global scenario. Despite this, GDL is optimistic on long-term prospects and continues to look to expand its network, he said.

Construction at Indore ICD has started and Ankleshwar's Multi Modal Logistics Park has received customs permission for Exim business, which is expected to start operations in September.

The company's subsidiary Snowman Logistics is also continuing its expansion and remains on track to reach a capacity of 1,70,000 pallets by the middle of next year, Gupta added.
