Gold Futures Drop Rs 242 to Rs 78,984/10g

Gold futures declined by Rs 242 to Rs 78,984 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak global cues and fall in spot demand.

New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Gold prices on Friday dropped Rs 242 to Rs 78,984 per 10 grams in futures trade amid fall in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 242 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 78,984 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 10,671 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.
Globally, gold futures decreased by 0.04 per cent to USD 2,713.30 per ounce in New York.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 242 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 78,984 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 10,671 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.
