Gold Futures Drop to Rs 1,41,351 Amid Weak Spot Demand

Gold futures in India dropped by Rs 499 to Rs 1,41,351 per 10 grams on Thursday, driven by a fall in spot demand. Global gold prices also declined.

New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday dropped by Rs 499 to Rs 1,41,351 per 10 grams in futures trade amid a fall in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, yellow metal contracts for August delivery traded lower by Rs 499, or 0.35 per cent, at Rs 1,41,351 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 743 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in precious metal prices to weaker spot demand.
Globally, gold futures fell by 0.71 per cent to USD 4,031.58 per ounce in New York.
