Gold Futures Fall: Muted Demand Impacts Prices

Gold futures decline by Rs 103 to Rs 98,593 per 10 grams on muted demand. Weak global cues also impacted yellow metal prices.

New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI) Gold prices on Wednesday declined by Rs 103 to Rs 98,593 per 10 grams in futures trade amid muted spot demand.
On the Multi-Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery depreciated Rs 103 or 0.1 per cent to Rs 98,593 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,029 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in yellow metal prices to weak global cues.
In the international markets, gold futures rose 0.15 per cent to USD 3,320.91 per ounce in New York.
