Gold Futures Fall: Muted Demand Impacts Prices

Gold futures decline by Rs 254 to Rs 99,050 per 10 grams due to muted demand. Weak global cues also contribute to the fall.

New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday declined by Rs 254 to Rs 99,050 per 10 grams in futures trade amid muted spot demand.
On the Multi-Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery depreciated Rs 254 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 99,050 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 13,868 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in yellow metal prices to weak global cues.
In the international markets, gold futures rose 0.30 per cent to USD 3,338.53 per ounce in New York.
