Gold Futures Rise on Spot Demand | April 16

Gold futures increase by Rs 851 to Rs 1,54,799 per 10 grams on MCX due to fresh positions and firm spot demand. Globally, gold also rose.

New Delhi, Apr 16 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday rose by Rs 851 to Rs 1,54,799 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 851, or 0.55 per cent, at Rs 1,54,799 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,064 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said.
Globally, gold futures rose 0.77 per cent to USD 4,828.17 per ounce in New York.
