Gold prices increased by Rs 548 to Rs 96,018 per 10 grams in futures trade due to firm spot demand and increased speculation. Global gold futures also saw a rise.
Gold Futures Rise on Spot Demand
New Delhi, Jun 30 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday increased Rs 548 to Rs 96,018 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for August delivery traded higher by Rs 548 or 0.57 per cent at Rs 96,018 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,218 lots.


Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said.

Globally, gold futures rose 0.54 per cent to USD 3,305.20 per ounce in New York.
