Guar Gum Futures Fall: Low Demand Impacts Prices

Guar gum futures decline Rs 148 to Rs 10,767/quintal on low demand. Traders offload holdings amid weak spot market trend and ample supplies.
New Delhi, Apr 9 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday fell Rs 148 to Rs 10,767 per quintal in the futures trade as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for May delivery declined by Rs 148, or 1.36 per cent, to Rs 10,767 per quintal in 50,430 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
