Guar Gum Futures Fall on Low Demand

Guar gum futures decline due to weak spot market demand and ample supplies. January delivery down Rs 264 to Rs 11,485 per quintal.
New Delhi, Jan 5 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday decreased by Rs 264 to Rs 11,485 per quintal in the futures trade as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for January delivery depreciated by Rs 264, or 2.25 per cent, to Rs 11,485 per quintal in 21,090 lots.
It had settled at Rs 11,749 per quintal in the previous market session.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
