Guar Gum Futures Rise on Firm Demand

Guar gum futures prices increased on NCDEX due to strong spot demand and increased speculator holdings. Analysts note a firm physical market trend.
New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) Guar gum prices rose by Rs 22 to Rs 11,935 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.


On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for September delivery traded higher by Rs 22, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 11,935 per quintal with an open interest of 57,835 lots.

Tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets that led to a rise in guar gum prices, analysts said.
