Guar Gum Futures Rise on Strong Demand
Guar gum futures prices surged on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) due to robust spot demand and increased speculation. Prices rose Rs 21 to Rs 10,089 per quintal.
New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Tuesday increased Rs 21 to Rs 10,089 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 21 or 0.21 per cent at Rs 10,089 per quintal with an open interest of 46,260 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
