Guar Gum Futures Rise: Prices Up on Firm Demand

Guar gum futures prices surged by Rs 145 to Rs 11,203 per quintal on NCDEX, driven by increased speculator holdings and strong spot market demand.

New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday rose Rs 145 to Rs 11,203 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery climbed by Rs 145 or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 11,203 per quintal with an open interest of 14,015 lots.
It had ended at Rs 11,058 per quintal in the preceding session.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
