Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand
Guar gum futures prices rose on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to increased speculator holdings and firm spot demand.
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Wednesday increased Rs 15 to Rs 10,285 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 15 or 0.15 per cent at Rs 10,285 per quintal with an open interest of 36,420 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
