New Delhi, Sep 18 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Wednesday dropped Rs 49 to Rs 5,473 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed for October delivery fell Rs 49 or 0.90 per cent to Rs 5,473 per quintal in 50,520 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar seed prices.
