Guar Seed Futures Prices Jump on Higher Investor Bets

Guar seed futures prices surged by Rs 71 to Rs 6,102 per quintal on NCDEX due to increased investor bets, despite falling spot prices.

New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Guar seed prices rose by Rs 71 to Rs 6,102 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday amid higher bets by investors.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for August delivery inched up by Rs 71, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 6,102 per quintal with an open interest of 4,545 lots.

Marketmen said higher bets by investors, despite a fall in spot prices, supported guar seed futures contracts.
