Guar Seed Futures Rise: Higher Bets Fuel Price Increase

Guar seed futures climb on increased investor bets. June contracts rise to Rs 5,796/quintal on NCDEX despite spot price dip.
New Delhi, May 19 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 57 to Rs 5,796 per quintal in futures trade amid higher bets by investors.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for June delivery climbed Rs 57, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 5,796 per quintal with an open interest of 59,200 lots.
Marketmen said higher bets by investors, despite a fall in spot prices, supported guar seed prices in futures trade.
