Guar Seed Futures Rise: Higher Bets Fuel Price

Guar seed futures climb on higher investor bets. March contracts rise to Rs 5,663/quintal on NCDEX. Spot price fall ignored.
New Delhi, Feb 5 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday rose by Rs 52 to Rs 5,663 per quintal in futures trade amid higher bets by investors.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for March delivery climbed by Rs 52 or 0.93 per cent to Rs 5,663 per quintal with an open interest of 38,070 lots.
Marketmen said higher bets by investors despite a fall in spot prices supported guar seed prices in futures trade.
