Guar Seed Futures Rise: Higher Bets Fuel Price

Guar seed futures climb on higher investor bets. March contracts rise to Rs 5,355/quintal on NCDEX. Spot price fall fails to deter futures trade.
New Delhi, Feb 19 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday rose by Rs 7 to Rs 5,355 per quintal in futures trade amid higher bets by investors.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for March delivery climbed Rs 7, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 5,355 per quintal with an open interest of 65,850 lots.
Marketmen said higher bets by investors despite a fall in spot prices supported guar seed prices in futures trade. PTI DR DR BAL
