Guar Seed Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Guar seed futures gained on Wednesday, rising Rs 37 to Rs 5,260 per quintal, driven by strong spot market demand and increased speculation.
New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Wednesday rose Rs 37 to Rs 5,260 per quintal in futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for September delivery rose Rs 37 or 0.70 per cent to Rs 5,260 per quintal with an open interest of 41,985 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raised bets, a firm trend in the spot market and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
