Guar seed futures prices increased due to speculator positions, spot market trend, and thin supplies. December contracts rose to Rs 4,701.
New Delhi, Nov 14 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Friday increased Rs 17 to Rs 4,701 per quintal in the futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for December delivery rose Rs 17 or 0.36 per cent to Rs 4,701 per quintal with an open interest of 52,230 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raising bets, a firm trend in the spot market, and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
