Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates GCCI trade expo in Gandhinagar. Showcasing diverse sectors & Gujarat's economic contributions.
Gandhinagar, Apr 16 (PTI) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday inaugurated the annual trade expo of Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) here.
The exhibition, being held from April 16 to 18, is spread across 18,000 square metres at Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar and features stalls representing diverse sectors including automobiles, renewable energy, information technology, pharmaceuticals, textiles, artificial intlligence and cyber security, an official release said.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the expo, with its theme of 'Gujarat Vision - Global Ambition', will provide a platform for MSMEs and young entrepreneurs, the release said.
"The continued success of the Vibrant Summit, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made Gujarat a global gateway to the future," the CM said.
Given Gujarat's reputation as a policy-driven state, the Chamber of Commerce plays an important role by providing ground reports and feedback for policymaking. The GCCI has also worked closely with the state government at every stage of Vibrant Summit from planning to execution, Patel said.
Gujarat contributes 8.3 per cent to the country's GDP, 18 per cent to national industrial output and 31 per cent to exports, the CM noted.
The state is the first in the country to prepare the Developed Gujarat @ 2047 Roadmap with the mantra of 'earning well - living well' to achieve the resolution of building a developed India, Patel said.
He expressed confidence that the GCCI, in collaboration with the state government, will develop the capabilities of Gujarat at the global level.
Some 610 exhibitors and more than 30,000 visitors have registered for the expo, and visitor registrations are likely to reach 50,000, the release said.
