Gujarat govt assures sufficient cooking gas supply, dismissing shortage rumors amid West Asia crisis. Home delivery ensured via digital booking.

Ahmedabad, Mar 20 (PTI) There is sufficient supply of cooking gas in Gujarat and oil marketing companies have ensured home delivery of cylinders, the state government said on Friday amid the West Asia crisis.
In a release, the BJP government in the state said technology-based arrangements have been made to ensure cylinders can be delivered conveniently to homes.
"Registered citizens can now easily book LPG cylinders via WhatsApp, missed calls, SMS/IVR, smartphone applications, or official company portals. In addition, cylinders can also be booked via partner wallets or banking apps through the Bharat Bill Payment System," it said.
All bookings follow a structured digital process, and customers receive confirmation via SMS, and priority is given to home delivery for domestic gas connection holders, the release said.
"There is sufficient supply of cooking gas in the state. Citizens must not to pay attention to any rumours regarding LPG availability. Oil marketing companies are closely monitoring the proper supply of LPG cylinders. Citizens no longer need to stand in line at agencies to get their cylinders," it said.
The state government said revenue and police personnel are strictly monitoring all public and private gas agencies to ensure timely LPG supply to citizens and prevent irregularities.
