Chandigarh, Apr 2 (PTI) The Haryana government has set up an 18-member district-level clearance committee in each district to promote micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and simplify approval processes.

An official notification said on Thursday the move follows an amendment to the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Rules, now called the Haryana Enterprise Promotion (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

The government said the step aims to make procedures simpler, faster and more transparent, helping boost investment and generate employment.

The committee will be headed by the deputy commissioner of the district and include officials from departments such as power, taxation, town planning, pollution control, labour, and municipal bodies.

Officers from HSIIDC, HSVP, MSME centres, AYUSH, renewable energy and forest departments will also be members, along with a representative of the district MSME organisation.

The joint or deputy director of the District Industries Centre will act as the member secretary.

The panel will serve as a single platform for quick disposal of industry-related matters and improve ease of doing business in the state.
