Haryana to Develop Toy Industry Cluster: Saini

Chandigarh, Apr 23 (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said a dedicated cluster for the toy industry will be developed in the state as part of the Haryana Industrial Policy 2026.

The Haryana government is formulating an industrial policy to attract investors in emerging sectors and accelerate large-scale employment generation and innovation.

He stated that the development of the toy industry cluster, spread over an area of 250 to 350 acres of land, will not only give a new identity to Haryana's industrial sector but also strengthen the country's economy by boosting exports.

He was speaking after a two-day high-level meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to deliberate on the final draft of Haryana Industrial Policy “2026.

The new Industrial Policy will offer special incentives to Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) companies, including capital subsidies, tax benefits, skill development support, and ease of doing business provisions to ensure smooth establishment and expansion of industries, an official statement said.


The Haryana government is moving rapidly towards establishing the state as a global hub for ESDM, IT, animation, visual effects, and gaming sectors.

The government is formulating an industrial policy that will not only be highly attractive for investors in these emerging sectors but will also accelerate large-scale employment generation, innovation, and cutting-edge technological development, the statement said.

Saini said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the country has witnessed unprecedented transformation over the past 11 years, and Haryana is playing a key role in advancing this national vision.

He added that the state government is committed to achieving the goal of a 'Viksit Haryana' in line with the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'.

Saini emphasized that the new policy prioritizes investment in every district to ensure balanced industrial development. He also said that the new Industrial Policy will enhance employment opportunities and take Haryana's industrial growth to new heights.

To address export-related challenges, representatives recommended setting up global warehouses abroad to facilitate product storage for companies. Several firms also expressed interest in adopting Industrial Training Institutes to ensure the availability of a skilled workforce tailored to industry needs.
