IHCL to Open Gateway Resort in Rajasthan

Mumbai, May 19 (PTI) Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) on Tuesday announced the signing of a 105-key brownfield gateway resort in Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

"Bharatpur, given its strategic location and the renowned bird sanctuary, is well-positioned to benefit from the demand for experiential travel in addition to hosting destination weddings and catering to the MICE segment.

"We are delighted to partner with Yadur Kapur for this project," IHCL Executive Vice President- Real Estate and Development, Suma Venkatesh said.

With the addition of this new property, IHCL will have 67 hotels in Rajasthan, including 24 under development.

* Hilton inks 96-key hotel in Hyderabad



Hilton on Tuesday announced the signing of a 96-key hotel in Kompally, Hyderabad, the company's third hotel in the city.

The new property, Hilton Garden Inn, is expected to open in 2028. It is being developed by Fairmount and Friends LLP, a part of the Fairmount Group, Hilton said in a statement.

"As Hilton continues to expand across India, our focused service brands like Hilton Garden Inn play a critical role in scaling our portfolio across the country, where we're on track to grow from 40 trading hotels today to over 400 in the years to come. This signing reflects our focus on building a balanced portfolio across key gateway and emerging business destinations in the market with a product designed to effectively meet the demands of both business and leisure travellers," Clarence Tan, senior vice president, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said.
