New Delhi, Jun 25 (PTI) India is exporting 40 tonnes of biscuits made by a Varanasi-based company to Oman, following the implementation of a bilateral free trade agreement, the commerce ministry said on Thursday.
The move highlights the growing export potential of processed food products in Oman.
The consignment will commence its journey from Varanasi and move to the Inland Container Depot (ICD), Kanpur, for customs clearance before being transported to Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) for onward shipment to Oman, the ministry said.
