New Delhi, Jun 26 (PTI) Consumer spending on ITC's FMCG products has increased 8.8 per cent to nearly Rs 37,000 crore in FY26, reaching 28 crore homes, according to the company's latest annual report.
Consumer spending on ITC's FMCG products has maintained a strong growth trajectory over the past three years, rising from nearly Rs 29,000 crore in FY23 to Rs 32,500 crore in FY24, reflecting a 12 per cent year-on-year increase. In FY25, consumer spending further climbed 4.6 per cent to around Rs 34,000 crore.
While the pace of growth moderated in FY25 compared with the previous year, the company continued to expand its consumer franchise, adding about Rs 5,000 crore in consumer spend over the two years from FY23 to FY25.
ITC's FMCG business houses 30 brands, including Aashirvaad, Bingo, Sunfeast, Classmate, YiPPee, Mangaldeep, and Fiama, among others.
The Kolkata headquartered company, which has "aspiration to be India's No 1 FMCG company", said its products are now "reaching 28 crore households".
"ITC's world-class Indian brands in Foods, Personal Care Products, Education and Stationery Products, Matches and Agarbattis today represent a consumer spend of over Rs 37,000 crore," the company said.
The company launched nearly 100 new products across target markets in FY26.
ITC measures annual consumer spending as the total amount consumers spend on goods purchased from the company. It is the net sales turnover of the brands, along with channel margins and taxes.
In FY26, ITC's FMCG Businesses recorded a segment revenue of Rs 24,209.75 crore, representing growth of 10.1 per cent over the previous year.
Cigarettes remain the largest contributor to ITC's revenue, at Rs 37,099.65 crore, 45.9 per cent of its Gross Revenue from the sale of products and services of Rs 80,867.49 crore.
Several of ITC's FMCG brands continue to hold leadership positions in their respective categories. Its flagship food brand, Aashirvaad, is the market leader in the branded atta segment, while Bingo! ranks No. 1 in the bridges segment of snack foods, and Sunfeast leads the cream biscuits category. In the education and stationery space, Classmate remains the top notebook brand.
Among other key brands, YiPPee! is the second-largest player in the noodles segment, while Mangaldeep holds the No. 2 position in the incense sticks category, underscoring ITC's strong presence across diverse FMCG segments.
However, ITC also added that the ongoing conflict in West Asia has triggered a sharp rise in key input and fuel costs, heightening near-term inflationary pressures.
It "continues to take proactive measures to mitigate the impact of such headwinds across all nodes of operations, sustain competitiveness and growth momentum," said ITC.
Highlighting its long-term FMCG strategy, ITC said it remains focused on driving the next phase of growth through strong growth platforms and a future-ready portfolio.
It has chosen categories, which are characterised by low household penetration and low per capita consumption, offering significant scope for market expansion. ITC said a key pillar of its strategy is to enter value-added adjacencies and emerging categories by leveraging more than 30 established mother brands.
Besides its domestic market, ITC said its FMCG businesses continue to expand their global presence, leveraging the strength and equity of their world-class brand portfolio. The company noted that its FMCG products are now available in more than 70 countries, reflecting its growing export footprint and increasing international market reach.
It is "exploring strategic opportunities in proximal markets as a potential vector of growth going forward," said ITC.
