Karnataka''s Exports Soar 9.5% to ₹19.7 Lakh Cr in FY26

Bengaluru, Jun 16 (PTI) With total exports growing by 9.5 per cent in FY 2025–26 to reach Rs 19.7 lakh crore, Karnataka has solidified its status as India's leading software and services exporter while maintaining its position as one of the nation's foremost merchandise exporting states, Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said on Tuesday.

State Industries Minister M B Patil pointed out that Karnataka continues to strengthen India's economic growth story, saying the state has retained its position as India's number one software and services exporter and secured fourth place in merchandise export.

"Karnataka's growth story continues to inspire confidence and set new benchmarks. With exports growing by 9.5 per cent in FY 2025–26 to nearly Rs 19.7 lakh crore, our state has reaffirmed its position as India's leading software and services exporter while remaining among the nation's foremost merchandise exporting states," the Chief Minister's office said in a post on 'X'.

From technology, biotechnology and electronics to manufacturing, aerospace, research and innovation, Karnataka's progress is powered by world-class talent, enterprise and an enduring spirit of innovation, he said, "While Bengaluru anchors this momentum, every region of our state contributes to Karnataka's expanding global presence."


"As Karnataka's products, services and ideas reach the world, we remain committed to fostering investment, entrepreneurship, innovation and quality employment, building a future of inclusive prosperity and strengthening Karnataka's role as a leading driver of India's economic transformation," he added.

Minister Patil said Karnataka powers India's export growth.

Highlighting that the state's total exports grew by 9.5 per cent, reaching nearly Rs 19.7 lakh crore, the Minister said in a post on 'X', "We have retained our position as India's No. 1 software and services exporter and secured 4th place in merchandise exports, reflecting the strength of our industries, innovation ecosystem, skilled workforce and investor-friendly policies."

From engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and aerospace to agriculture and food processing, Karnataka's export base continues to diversify and expand, Patil said. "While Bengaluru remains a key driver of this success, districts across the state are making significant contributions to our export growth."

"Our commitment is clear - to further strengthen manufacturing, attract investments, create jobs and position Karnataka as a leading global export hub," he added.
