New Delhi, May 26 (PTI) Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Tuesday said the government will come out with a white paper about the state's financial situation in the first week of June.

Addressing his press meet in the national capital after becoming the chief minister, Satheesan said the state is facing a financial crisis.

The chief minister on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and various issues, including Centre-state relations and financial issues, were discussed.

The efforts will be to get the maximum help from the Centre for projects and development activities, the chief minister said.

Satheesan was sworn in as the chief minister on May 18 after a thumping victory for the Congress-led UDF in the Assembly elections wherein the now ruling front had won 102 seats. The results of the polls, held on April 9, were declared on May 4.

In the elections, LDF and BJP secured 35 and 3 seats, respectively.
