New Delhi, Mar 28 (PTI) Solar, wind, and hybrid power solutions provider KP Group has joined hands with PP Savani University to start a programme to build a skilled workforce for the renewable energy sector.

The foundation in collaboration with the university has launched the Urja Noor scholarship programme, aimed at supporting underprivileged students pursuing education in renewable energy and related fields, a statement said.

"The Urja Noor scholarship program is designed to build a skilled workforce for the clean energy sector while ensuring access to quality education for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds," Gujarat-based KP Group said.

In the first batch, 92 students will receive free education under this scholarship, and the program will include 30 students from Botswana every year. The program reflects the group's vision to create a pipeline of skilled talent that will drive the nation's clean energy transformation, KP Group CMD Faruk Patel said.
