Lagan Shastri Appointed CEO of SLMG Beverages, Coca-Cola Bottler

New Delhi, Aug 10 (PTI) SLMG Beverages Pvt Ltd, one of the bottling partners of Coca-Cola in India, on Monday announced the appointment of Lagan Shastri as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

This appointment signals the company's readiness to embark on its next major phase of strategic growth and global expansion, SLMG Beverages said in a statement.

SLMG Beverages, which has rights for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand and some parts of Madhya Pradesh, is expanding its capacity. In 2024, it acquired rights for the Bihar market from Coca-Cola's bottling arm HCCBL, as the Atlanta-headquartered firm is divesting its bottling operations globally.

"Looking at the future, the company aspires to build one of the world's most admired Coca-Cola bottling businesses, recognised globally for its innovation, execution, and long-term sustainability-driven performance," the company said.


Shastri brings nearly three decades of experience across the beverages, FMCG and consumer products sectors. He began his career with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) as a management trainee and spent over 20 years with the company, holding senior roles across sales, marketing, commercial profit centre management and strategy.

He was later appointed Executive Director-Marketing Operations at HCCB, where he managed end-to-end market operations and co-led the company's strategy with the CEO.

In 2020, Shastri took charge as Managing Director and CEO of DFM Foods Ltd, where he led the transformation of the private equity-backed listed company into a professionally managed organisation.

He subsequently joined Reliance Consumer Products Ltd as Strategic Advisor, advising its leadership on commercial strategy and enterprise-level execution across its expanding consumer portfolio.
