New Delhi, Apr 15 (PTI) Healthcare start-up Last Mile Care Pvt Ltd on Wednesday said it has raised close to USD 1 million (over Rs 9 crore) in a seed funding round led by Philips Foundation through its impact investment arm.

The round also witnessed participation from World Diabetes Foundation, We Share Forward Foundation, and a group of high-net-worth individual investors, the company said in a statement.

The fresh fund will be deployed to expand footprint across India and further strengthen 'phygital' healthcare ecosystem -- an integrated model combining on-site clinics, mobile health units, telemedicine, and AI-enabled digital health infrastructure, it added.

The company said it is focused on enhancing access to structured and preventive healthcare for India's blue- and grey-collar workforce.
