Lenskart Establishes Wenzhou Framekart Subsidiary in China

Eyewear firm Lenskart has incorporated Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co Ltd, a step-down subsidiary in China, to trade, import, and export spectacle frames and optical products.

New Delhi, Aug 17 (PTI) Eyewear firm Lenskart has set up a step-down subsidiary in China that will be engaged in the business of trading, importing, exporting and procuring spectacle frames as well as other optical products, the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

The step-down subsidiary has been set up under Lenskart's Chinese joint venture Baofeng Framekart Technology (BFT).

"The step-down subsidiary of the company has been incorporated under the name Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co Ltd on August 14, 2026. The company has received the Certificate of Incorporation in respect thereof on August 17, 2026," the filing said. â

Upon incorporation, 95 per cent of the equity interest in Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co Ltd is held by BFT, the company said.

"The step-down subsidiary shall undertake the business of trading, importing, exporting and procuring spectacle frames and allied optical products, as well as related materials, equipment and technology, as may be required for the business of BFT and its subsidiaries from time to time," the filing said.
