Mauritius Delegation Visits ICAR-CIPHET for Agri Tech

Mauritius delegation led by Minister Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER visits ICAR-CIPHET to explore India''s advancements in post-harvest engineering, food processing, and agri-entrepreneurship, aiming for bilateral collaboration.

Ludhiana, Aug 5 (PTI) A high-level delegation from Mauritius, led by Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER, Minister of Industry, SME and Cooperatives, visited ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana.
The visit on Wednesday was made under the bilateral engagement programme to explore India's advancements in post-harvest engineering, food processing, technology commercialisation, and agri-entrepreneurship, an official statement said.
Welcoming the delegation, Dr Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, highlighted the Institute's mandate and showcased its innovative technologies in post-harvest management, food processing, value addition, agricultural mechanisation, and technology transfer.
Sayed Muhammad Aadil AMEER appreciated the innovative technologies developed by ICAR-CIPHET and commended the institute's contribution towards post-harvest management and value addition.
He expressed interest in strengthening bilateral collaboration between the Republic of Mauritius and ICAR-CIPHET in areas of technology development, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.
The delegation also interacted with ICAR-CIPHET incubatees and stakeholders, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and experiences in technology adoption.
