MMTC-PAMP Relaunches Digital Gold & Silver Platform

New Delhi, May 7 (PTI) Precious metals refiner MMTC-PAMP has relaunched its digital gold and silver offerings, allowing consumers to buy directly through its website and Android app, in addition to partner platforms such as Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe.

The company had first launched digital gold in 2017 and silver in February 2023, but suspended direct platform sales in late 2024 to revamp its website for a better user experience. The service remained available through third-party payment platforms during the overhaul.

MMTC-PAMP relaunched its revamped website in May 2025.

The service allows customers to invest in gold and silver from as little as Rs 10, with each unit backed by physical metal stored in insured, bank-grade vaults and audited by an independent third party.


Holdings are maintained in the customer's name and can be bought, sold, gifted or redeemed at real-time market prices, with proceeds transferred directly to a bank account or converted into physical coins and bars.

"Digital gold and silver is increasingly becoming a preferred mode of purchase in the precious metals industry, particularly among young and first-time investors who value accessibility, flexibility and transparency," Managing Director and Chief Executive Samit Guha said in a statement.

"With this relaunch, our focus is to maintain the trust of physical gold and silver with the convenience of digital platforms," he added.

Digital precious metals have gained traction as an investment option in India, offering small-ticket investors an entry into the asset class without storage concerns, while retaining the option of physical redemption.
