Bhopal, Aug 25 (PTI) The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday approved key proposals worth Rs 10,630 crore to accelerate infrastructure, healthcare, cybersecurity projects and support social welfare schemes in the state.

The proposals were approved by the state cabinet at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav here.

It granted post-facto approval for Rs 78 lakh in incentives to medal-winning players and coaches from Madhya Pradesh who were part of the Indian team that won the Women's T20 Blind Cricket World Cup 2025.

The cabinet approved a proposal to provide a government guarantee for a Rs 4,600-crore loan to the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) through NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance (NIDA) for 12 road construction projects, PWD Minister Rakesh Singh told reporters after the meeting.

It also decided to transfer ownership of 22 selected highways, major district roads, other district roads and rural roads to MPRDC, he informed.

In addition, the cabinet approved Rs 3,960 crore for widening the 91.64-km Seoni-Balaghat road to four lanes and Rs 1,740 crore for 19 welfare schemes benefiting poor and vulnerable sections as part of social and economic empowerment, Singh stated.

To expand healthcare and technical infrastructure, the cabinet approved the creation of 244 posts for the effective functioning of Madhya Pradesh Dhanwantri Health University in Ujjain and Rs 80 crore for the MP-CERT scheme for cybersecurity management, the minister said.

In addition, Rs 250.67 crore was approved for the upgradation and operation of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan and guest houses in New Delhi.

The cabinet approved amendments to the Land Purchase Policy through Mutual Consent, authorised the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to take action under provisions corresponding to the Indian Penal Code, 1860, as incorporated in the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

It granted post-facto approval for Rs 78 lakh in incentives to medal-winning players and coaches from the state who were part of the Indian team that won the Women's T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, the minister said.

The Indian team won the inaugural tournament after defeating Nepal in the final held in Colombo on November 23, 2025.

In recognition of this achievement, three Madhya Pradesh players who were part of the victorious Indian team -- Sunita Sarathe (Narmadapuram), Durga Yeble (Betul) and Sushma Patel (Damoh) -- will each receive Rs 25 lakh -- Rs 10 lakh in cash and Rs 15 lakh through a fixed deposit.

Three coaches of the team, Sonu Golkar, Omprakash Pal and Deepak Pahade, will receive Rs 1 lakh each. Thus, a total incentive of Rs 78 lakh has been approved for the players and coaches, the minister added.
