Network18 Reports Rs 38.7 Cr Loss in April-June Quarter

Network18 Media and Investments reported a Rs 38.7 crore loss in the June quarter, contrasting with a Rs 148 crore profit last year. Revenue increased to Rs 516.3 crore.

Mumbai, Jul 15 (PTI) Network 18 Media and Investments on Wednesday reported a loss of Rs 38.7 crore in the June quarter, as against a net profit of Rs 148 crore in the year-ago period.

The city-headquartered company reported a loss of Rs 30.5 crore in the quarter-ago period.

In the reporting quarter, the company's revenue from operations increased to Rs 516.3 crore from the year-ago period's Rs 467.9 crore.

Total expenses increased to Rs 596.5 crore from the year-ago period's Rs 550.1 crore.

During the reporting quarter, it had to take an impact of Rs 12.13 crore due to the implementation of the new labour codes, according to an exchange filing.

The company's scrip closed 0.75 per cent down at Rs 31.71 apiece on the BSE, against gains of 0.17 per cent on the benchmark.
