* Axis Max Life introduces retirement product SmartRISE
Axis Max Life Insurance has launched the retirement plan SmartRISE that combines a guaranteed annuity component with a benchmark-linked component tied to the NIFTY 50 Index.
It allows customers to secure a stable retirement income while leveraging growth potential, Axis Max Life said in a statement.
The plan allows policyholders to customise their retirement timeline by selecting a deferment period, during which no annuity is payable, it said, adding that upon the completion of this deferment phase, the annuitant begins receiving regular payouts.
In the event of the annuitant's demise, it said, the option provides a Return of Purchase Price to the designated nominees (subject to policy terms and conditions), ensuring long-term generational financial protection.
