Parag Milk Foods gets board approval to double cheese manufacturing capacity to 120 TPD with a Rs 105 crore investment, targeting FY28 completion amid growing market demand.
New Delhi, Aug 7 (PTI) Parag Milk Foods on Friday said it has received the board's approval for doubling the cheese manufacturing capacity to 120 tonne per day with an estimated investment of Rs 105 crore.

The expansion is likely to be completed by FY28, it said in a statement.

"This will involve an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 105 crore to be funded from a mix of internal accruals and debt," Parag Milk Foods Said.


The investment is part of the company's strategy to cater to the growing demand of cheese and whey protein business and identifying new avenues of growth.

The company has a strong cheese portfolio under the brand 'Go Cheese' with 35 per cent market share.

The Indian cheese market is expected to grow from about Rs 12,900 crore in 2025 to around Rs 62,000 crore by 2034, driven by rising urbanisation, evolving food preferences and the expansion of organised food service channels, as per the IMARC Group.
