Pernod Ricard India Revenue Up 11% in March Quarter
New Delhi, Apr 16 (PTI) French alcobev major Pernod Ricard has reported 11 per cent revenue growth in India for March quarter 2026, helped by the sale of its Imperial Blue business.

Besides, the growing consumer demand and premiumisation in the India alcobev market helped the business, said Pernod Ricard in its third quarter earnings. The company follows July-June financial year.

India is the largest market by volume and second-largest by value for the French spirit maker, which owns popular brands such as Absolut, Chivas Regal, and Glenlivet.

"Q3 benefit from strong underlying demand and continuing premiumisation, along with the disposal of the Imperial Blue business," said an earning statement from Pernod Ricard.

Its imported spirits, including Jameson, Absolut and Scotch brands, recorded strong double-digit growth. Its local brands from Seagram's portfolio, including Blenders Pride, and newly launched "Xclamat!on" range of spirits also reported strong growth.

Pernod Ricard, which had acquired the Seagram's India business almost two-and-a half decades ago, gets a vast majority of its topline and volume contribution by it.

Earlier this year, Pernod Ricard India (PRI) divested its Imperial Blue business to home-grown Tilaknagar Industries. Now PRI's Seagram's profile consists of brands including Royal Stag, Blenders Pride, 100 Pipers, Longitude 77 and the new brand 'Xclamat!on'.

According to Pernod Ricard, the Indian "spirits market continues to enjoy dynamic consumer fundamentals".

Pernod Ricard YTD (year to date growth) in the last months of financial year 2026 was at 6 per cent.

Globally Pernod Ricard Q3 net sales totalled 1.94 billion Euros, with an organic growth of 0.1 per cent only.

Its July-March net sales totalled 7.1 million Euro with an organic decline of 4.4 per cent.

Pernod Ricard India is the leading Indian alcobev player with a revenue of Rs 27,446 crore in financial year 2025. PRI has been growing with a high single-digit CAGR of 8 per cent since the last five years.
