Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) acquires Southern Health Foods, known for its 'Manna' brand, expanding its health foods portfolio.
Chennai, Feb 10 (PTI) Tamil Nadu-based Southern Health Foods Pvt Ltd has been acquired by RCPL, the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, for an undisclosed sum, a senior company official said.

Southern Health Foods, known for its flagship 'Manna' brand, has been a prominent player in packaged health foods for over two decades, offering products such as millet flour, oats, multigrain mixes, baby foods, and multigrain drinks.

The acquisition reinforces RCPL's focus on expanding its presence in the health foods segment while continuing its core philosophy of delivering "global quality at affordable prices" to consumers across India, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the deal, Reliance Consumer Products Ltd Director T Krishnakumar said, "Manna is one of the most trusted names in the health-focused foods market in Tamil Nadu, with a noticeable presence in neighbouring states. It is known for healthy offerings including millet-based staples, mixes, drinks, and baby foods."

He added, "Apart from strengthening RCPL's packaged foods portfolio, Manna's addition will help us serve consumers nutritious foods more widely. Leveraging our distribution, research and development, and supply chain capabilities, we aim to make Manna a household name across India.
