Silver futures prices fell by Rs 836 to Rs 2,36,999 per kilogram on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to a sell-off by participants.

New Delhi, Aug 13 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday fell by Rs 836 to Rs 2,36,999 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery declined by Rs 836, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 2,36,999 per kg in a business turnover of 857 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal was trading 0.18 per cent up at USD 65.44 per ounce in New York.
