Silver Futures Ease on Profit Booking: Prices Decline

Silver prices fell by Rs 291 to Rs 1,15,343 per kg on profit booking. MCX September contracts decreased 0.25%. Global silver also traded lower.

New Delhi, Jul 24 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday declined by Rs 291 to Rs 1,15,343 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery decreased Rs 291, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 1,15,343 per kilogram in a business turnover of 20,327 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels in the market mainly weighed on silver prices.
Globally, silver was trading 0.41 per cent lower at USD 39.10 per ounce in New York.
