Silver Futures Rise on Increased Bets

Silver futures prices increased by Rs 270 to Rs 1,06,494 per kg on Monday due to increased bets by participants. Global silver prices also saw a rise.

New Delhi, Jun 23 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday increased Rs 270 to Rs 1,06,494 per kilogram in futures trade, as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery rose Rs 270, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 1,06,494 per kg in a business turnover of 12,571 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 0.27 per cent higher at USD 36.18 per ounce in New York.
