Silver Futures Rise to Rs 2.21 Lakh/kg on MCX

Silver futures surged 1.19% to Rs 2.21 lakh per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to fresh positions and a firm global trend. Comex silver also rose.

New Delhi, Jul 21 (PTI) Silver prices rose 1.19 per cent to Rs 2.21 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Tuesday amid firm global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for September delivery increased by Rs 2,600, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 2,21,000 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,017 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
In the overseas market, Comex silver futures increased 2.80 per cent to USD 58 per ounce.
