Silver Futures Soar to Rs 2.39 Lakh/kg Amid Global Trend

Silver futures on MCX surged 1.46% to Rs 2.39 lakh per kg for September delivery on Wednesday, driven by fresh positions and a firm global trend.
New Delhi, Aug 12 (PTI) Silver prices rose 1.46 per cent to Rs 2.39 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Wednesday amid a firm global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for September delivery increased by Rs 3,429, or 1.46 per cent, to Rs 2,39,088 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,091 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
In the overseas market, silver futures increased 0.96 per cent to USD 65.30 per ounce.
