Silver Futures Surge: Price Jumps Rs 472 to Rs 92,896/kg

Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange surged Rs 472 to Rs 92,896 per kg on Friday, driven by increased participant bets and fresh positions. Global silver prices were slightly lower.
New Delhi, Dec 6 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday jumped Rs 472 to Rs 92,896 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery rose Rs 472 or 0.51 per cent to Rs 92,896 per kg in a business turnover of 24,430 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 0.08 per cent lower at USD 31.28 per ounce in New York.
