Silver Futures Surge: Prices Hit Rs 1,05,261/kg

Silver futures prices surged Rs 2,132 to Rs 1,05,261 per kg on Friday. Increased bets by participants drove the price increase in futures trade. Global silver prices saw a slight dip.

New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday climbed Rs 2,132 to Rs 1,05,261 per kilogram in futures trade as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery appreciated by Rs 2,132 or 1.99 per cent to Rs 1,05,261 per kg in a business turnover of 13,470 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
On the global front, silver was trading 2.02 per cent lower at USD 35.64 per ounce in New York.
