Silver Futures Surge: Prices Jump Rs 911

Silver futures prices jumped Rs 911 to Rs 1,13,245 per kg on Friday, driven by increased investor bets. Global silver prices saw a slight dip.
New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday jumped Rs 911 to Rs 1,13,245 per kilogram in futures trade as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery increased Rs 911 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 1,13,245 per kg in a business turnover of 18,030 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 0.96 per cent lower at USD 38.67 per ounce in New York.
