Silver Futures Surge: Prices Rise Rs 983 to Rs 88,561/kg

New Delhi, Jan 2 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday jumped Rs 983 to Rs 88,561 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 983 or 1.12 per cent to Rs 88,561 per kg in a business turnover of 33,933 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 1.49 per cent lower at USD 29.33 per ounce in New York.
